Zion testing mandatory shuttle service to reduce traffic Dec. 22-31


ZION NATIONAL PARK — Zion Nationwide Park will check a mandatory shuttle service from Dec. 22-31 to alleviate visitors congestion inside the park through the holiday season, in line with officials.

The Zion Canyon Scenic Drive will probably be closed to non-public automobiles while the obligatory shuttle service is in effect, in line with a news release from park officers.

Buses within the park will depart the customer middle and head up the canyon every 10 minutes beginning at 8 a.m. and ending at 5 p.m. day-after-day.

The shuttle may also be out there in Springdale, Washington County, “to assist visitors make connections inside the park and town,” the release states. The Springdale shuttles will run from 8:10 a.m. to six:30 p.m. every 15 minutes.

Officials additionally cautioned visitors to organize for winter driving circumstances, together with potential storms and ice.
