BATON ROUGE – Governor John Bel Edwards and Sheriff Sid Gautreaux and held a gathering Wednesday to honor Mexican officials who helped with the arrest of a high-profile homicide case.
Louisiana regulation enforcement leaders acclaimed the Governor of Coahuila, and other Mexican officers, who performed an integral position in locating and apprehending Oscar Lozada for the 2011 alleged killing of his wife Sylviane. Those self same officers also aided within the protected return of the Lozada’s 12-yr-previous daughter.
Plaques of appreciation got on the reception, which was held on the Governor’s Mansion.
“I feel this gathering is a powerful displaying of collaboration and cooperation across not solely state strains, but across national borders,” Sheriff Sid Gautreaux stated.
“Without the assistance of these women and men, I doubt Lozada can be in prison awaiting trial at this time; nor would Angelina be residence protected together with her mother’s household in Belgium. I’m honored to thank these individuals for his or her commitment to international public safety, baby protection and justice. It makes me looking forward to future partnerships.”
