Stamford’s students with disabilities help beautify local firehouses

STAMFORD — Firefighter Mike Battinelli and a number of other fellow firefighters from Stamford’s hearth station #3 helped college students from Stamford Public Faculties Individuals Attaining Independence (IAI) program plant flowers on the Westside hearth house on Might 15, 2019 in Stamford, Connecticut.

Scholar Christele Thomas and six different students from the IAI program planted spring flowers alongside firefighters. They spent the day planting sunflowers and shrubs to beautify the firehouse grounds.

That is the fourth yr that Stamford Public Faculties Social Worker Laura Marino and Engine three Stamford Firefighter Tony Marino have paired students with disabilities with firefighters to help study life and vocational expertise.
