McAdams reschedules town hall, district office meetings


SALT LAKE CITY — Rep. Ben McAdams, D-Utah, has rescheduled town corridor conferences and open office hours deliberate for next week in mild of Congress canceling a deliberate recess.

Congress was scheduled to be off for Monday’s Martin Luther King Day vacation and the rest of the week however is predicted to stay in session if the federal authorities shutdown isn’t resolved.

So McAdams will now hold a town hall assembly in West Valley Metropolis on Saturday, from 1-2 p.m., at the Redwood Recreational Middle, 3060 Lester Road; and in Lehi, on Feb. 19, from 6-7 p.m., on the Lehi City Council chambers, 153 N. one hundred East.

McAdams’ open home at his 4th Congressional District workplace in West Jordan is now set for Jan. 26, from 1-3 p.m. The district office is situated at 9067 S. 1300 West, Suite a hundred and one.

“I hope rescheduling just isn’t too inconvenient for constituents wanting to share their views,” the state’s newest congressman stated in a press release. “Listening to them is a prime precedence for me and I sit up for seeing as many constituents as potential.”

City hall meetings have been a problem during McAdams’ race towards now former Rep. Mia Love. Love, a two-term Republican, was criticized for selecting as an alternative to carry town hall meetings by way of phone and in individual with small groups of constituents.
