Judge lifts insanity verdict in Stamford home burglary



STAMFORD — A metropolis homeless man will again face expenses for burglarizing his mom’s house after a decide this week vacated his not responsible verdict by cause of madness.

Todd Blackman, 51, will remain at the state’s most security hospital for the criminally insane at Connecticut Valley Hospital’s Whiting Forensic Unit in Middletown whereas he awaits trial on the fees.

Supervisory Assistant State’s Lawyer Steven Weiss stated the state and the defense stipulated to vacating the decision since Blackman agreed to sign a voluntary civil commitment order that may hold him on the hospital until he’s neither a menace to himself of others, courtroom data present.
