House committee considers changes to Utah flag

SALT LAKE CITY — Utah Legislators are debating changing the state’s flag. In a committee meeting Wednesday, many lawmakers and members of the general public spoke in favor of considering other choices.

The Home Authorities Operations Standing Committee thought-about two payments Wednesday to vary the flag of Utah. The committee did not take any motion on HB292, which presents a selected design for a brand new Utah flag. HB219, which might create a commission to examine the state flag, was put on hold to think about modifications.

Utah’s current flag has loads of symbolism, but many individuals have no idea what our flag is or what it represents, in accordance with Rep. Keven Stratton, R-Orem, who’s sponsoring HB292.
