NORTH SALT LAKE — One man was arrested and another sent to the hospital with part of his ear torn off after a dialogue about conspiracy theories among relations turned heated, police say.
Brian David Boyack, forty three, of Orange, California, was booked into the Davis County Jail Tuesday for investigation of mayhem, felony mischief, intoxication and three counts of home violence in the presence of youngsters.
Boyack was staying with relations in North Salt Lake.
“They have been out in the scorching tub having a very good time when a dialog began relating to massive firms and primarily conspiracy theories,” in line with a Davis County Jail report.
The home-owner works for “an enormous banking business,” the report states, and Boyack, who had been consuming, took challenge with that.
“The dialog turned heated to the point the place (Boyack) began to pack up his and his family’s belongings and put them in a car,” based on the report.
The home-owner locked Boyack out of the home as a result of he was “appearing loopy” and he did not want Boyack driving, in accordance with police. Boyack responded by allegedly hitting patio furniture towards the home. When the home-owner opened the door to inform Boyack to stop, Boyack attacked him and held him to the bottom, the report states.
That’s when Boyack “bit off a large a part of his ear,” police wrote. The arresting officer noted that the home-owner’s ear “was missing a large chunk of flesh from the top of it.”
Boyack drove off before officers arrived at the house. But he later referred to as officers and turned himself in on the police station. He was booked into jail about midday Tuesday.
“I’ve completed something horrible however I don’t need to reply questions,” he informed officers, based on the report.
