Fallen officer to be laid to rest Saturday; suspect’s family expresses condolences


PROVO — The funeral for fallen Provo police officer Joseph Shinners will probably be held Saturday.

The funeral is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. at the Utah Valley College UCCU Middle in Orem and will probably be streamed reside on DeseretNews.com. From there, a funeral procession will take his body to Springville’s Evergreen Cemetery the place he will probably be laid to relaxation. Matt Frank Hoover, forty, who is suspected of killing Shinners, remained in Utah Valley Hospital Friday being handled for a capturing damage.
