BYU student falls from 4th floor of atrium, police say


PROVO — A Brigham Younger University scholar was hospitalized in essential condition Monday after falling from the fourth flooring of an atrium on campus, police stated.

Officers have been gathering details about how and why she fell shortly after 9 a.m. from the Tanner Building, a part of the Marriott Faculty of Administration. Several individuals witnessed the fall, stated BYU Police Lt. Steven Messick.

The lady, whose identify and age have not been launched, was transported to Utah Valley Hospital, Messick stated.

“We’ll investigate completely,” he added. “It’s terribly unfortunate.”

Courses have been in session Monday ahead of the college’s winter break, which begins Dec. thirteen. The varsity has made counseling out there for many who noticed or have been affected by the lady’s fall, based on Messick.
