HOLLADAY — Two students at Howard Driggs Elementary have been named nationwide winners in the 2019 Smokey Bear Poster Contest.

Penny Atkinson was named the fourth-grade nationwide and general grand prize winner, whereas

Eleanor Pratt was named the nationwide second-grade poster winner.

Penny and her family shall be honored during a recognition ceremony this summer time in Washington, D.C., while Eleanor acquired a $50 award from the National Backyard Clubs Inc.

The competition, sponsored by the U.S. Forest Service and the National Garden Golf equipment Inc., invitations elementary students to exhibit their understanding of wildfire prevention via unique drawings of Smokey Bear.
